There are just four weeks until National Doughnut Week (9 to 16 May) hits, so bakers are urged to register.

Businesses need to sign up before the 1 May deadline to participate in the activities, which help increase footfall and spread awareness. Every doughnut sold through the week, sponsored by CSM Bakery Solutions, raises money for The Children’s Trust, the charity for children with brain injury.

Bakers are encouraged to get creative and create a range of doughnuts to upsell during the week. Bakers can sign up at www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/nationaldoughnutweek to be sent POS material, funded by CSM, including posters, balloons and leaflets as well as ideas on how to make the most of the week.

Registration is open and costs £5 per shop or a maximum of £25 for five or more shops.

CSM is offering a discount for participants buying doughnut concentrates. Bakers can receive £10 off 16kg Craigmillar Doughnut Concentrate or 25kg Kielder Doughnut Concentrate, and £5 off Readi-Bake’s thaw-and-serve iced topped ring, plain ring or finger doughnuts. Vouchers will be sent out following registration.
