Ginsters is to roll out two spicy limited edition flavours at the end of the month.
The Chicken Balti Pasty and Spicy Meatball Slice will debut on 30 December for 16 weeks, priced at £1.99.
Wrapped in a light puff pastry, the pasty will contain 100% British chicken marinated in a spicy Balti sauce, potato, onions and peppers, while the meatball slice will consist of 100% British pork and beef meatballs with onions and mozzarella in a spicy sauce.
Linda Evans, sales and marketing director at Ginsters, said: “Following the success of the limited edition pulled pork slice which generated a double digit percentage sales uplift in the impulse sector, we expect the two new limited edition flavours to perform exceptionally well during the winter months when consumers tend to look for warming, spicier options."
