Foodservice supplier Coup de Pates’ latest range contains over 180 semi-prepared, reception, patisserie and fully-finished items.

Inspired by international gastronomy, the new Coup de Pates range – supplied frozen and including many new lines – has been created to work with the constraints of fine dining kitchens, “while leaving that all-important room for chefs to show off their creative sides”, according to the company.

Innovative new products include: a show-stopping 2.5kg, extra-large, fully baked Maxi Plaited Brioche - glazed and topped with sugar crystals; a range of mini scones made using premium Irish buttermilk; three different canapé selections, featuring Indian, Mexican and Pan-Asian flavours; a new Le Tourier Lemon Meringue Tartlet and a traditional Chiboust Cream Tartlet – a sweet pastry case filled with a light crème Normande and apple pieces, topped with a crème Chiboust and finished with brown sugar.

Mariam French, head of marketing and product development for Coup de Pates, said: “We understand the challenges of busy kitchens, while recognising the need for chefs to add their own signature to finished dishes.

“With a weight of artisan expertise and a passion for perfection poured into them, it [the new range] offers the very best of what we do.”

Earlier this month, research by Coup de Pates found that 60% of consumers would opt for a sweet course over a savoury starter.
