Canadian café and bakery business Tim Hortons is to open three more sites, in Manchester, Cardiff and Belfast, this year.

The company said the openings were part of the firm’s “second phase” of its nationwide roll-out plan.

Tim Hortons made its UK debut in April 2017 after announcing that it would open on Glasgow’s Argyle Street. Following its launch, the chain has since opened a second site in the city.

Tim Hortons will be offering a menu including its signature coffee and Timbits, as well as its bite-sized doughnuts.

“We were blown away by the reception we received in Glasgow, and are delighted to announce the opening of restaurants in Cardiff, Belfast and Manchester,” said chief finance and commercial officer of the Tim Hortons franchise Kevin Hydes.

“We know there’s a great deal of excitement out there and we can’t wait to share more details. We’re always looking for fantastic people to join the Tim Hortons Great Britain team.”

Further details of the official opening dates for each site are set to be revealed in due course, according to the company. They are expected to bring job opportunities to each city, including manager and assistant manager roles.
