Home baking brand Dr Oetker has launched a three-strong range of Bake in the Box Loaf Cake Mixes.
Available in double chocolate, lemon & poppy seed and banana & chocolate chip, the mixes have an RSP of £2.50 and roll out in major retailers this month.
The new product development overcomes the barriers that a lot of home bakers face, according to Dr Oetker, such as lack of time, skill, and equipment. All users have to do is add milk, mix and bake for 30 minutes.
“The sweet cake mixes category is worth £35m and we’re excited to launch our new Bake in the Box range into the category,” said Jan McKee, executive head of marketing at Dr Oetker UK.
“Bake in the Box will bring new consumers into the cake mixes category who currently feel like they don’t have the time, equipment or ingredients to bake. It’s extremely convenient and easy to make, and it tastes just like a freshly baked, homemade loaf.”
