Greggs has raised £832,573 for this year’s BBC Children in Need campaign through fundraising events.

The bakery chain has been a partner with the charity since 2007, and has raised a total of £8.5m for disadvantaged children in the UK.

Greggs sold Pudsey & Blush cakes and ring buns in its stores across the UK for its 10th anniversary of working with the charity. Pudsey keyrings, ears and wristbands were also on sale, along with pin badges at selected shops.

“With the support of the great British public, we’ve helped change countless lives through our unique fundraising activities, boundless enthusiasm for the cause and of course, our Pudsey and Blush cakes,” said a Greggs spokesperson.

Greggs raised £85,000 for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund through in-store collections to help support people who were injured or bereaved by the Manchester Arena bombing in May.
