Ridiculously Rich by Alana, the cake company started by The Apprentice 2016 winner Alana Spencer, has recalled a raft of products due to undeclared and incorrectly labelled allergens.

Some allergens – including soya, nuts, oats, eggs and sulphites – have not been listed while others have not been correctly emphasised.

The Food Standards Agency stated the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to the aforementioned ingredients as well as those with an intolerance to wheat, barley and oats (gluten) or a sensitivity to sulphite.

Products that have been recalled include Belgian Chocolate Rocky Road, Peanut Butter Fudge Cake, Crème Brûlée Brownie, Sticky Toffee Flapjack and Honeycomb Tiffin (see table below). The baked goods are sold in cafés and shops across the country as well as food markets.

Spencer was crowned winner of the 12th series of The Apprentice in December 2016, securing a £250,000 investment and 50/50 partnership with Lord Sugar. After winning, she rebranded her business from Narna’s Cakes to Ridiculously Rich by Alana.
