Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini has unveiled his autumn collection which includes four bakery items.

The range, called Chocolate Paradise, features 11 products including an Ecstatic Chocolate Tart and Chocolate-Mango Financier. Indian cocoa beans, described as having a bitter yet fresh and acidic flavour, feature heavily throughout the selection.

Pierre Marcolini’s four new bakery items are:

  • Ecstatic Chocolate Tart (right) – a dark chocolate crust encasing an almond and chocolate frangipane, covered with a dark chocolate and caramel ganache and topped with a Madagascan vanilla-infused chocolate cream (rsp: £7.90/147g or £29/536g).
  • Kiss Kiss Choco Pure Chocolate Macaron – dark and milk chocolate macarons, made using Indian cocoa beans, with a hint of salted caramel (rsp: £2.10/16g).
  • Delicious Embrace Chocolate-Mango Financier – a Faro almond and Indian dark chocolate sponge with mango cubes and cardamom (rsp: £2.00/28g).
  • Time for a Tête-à-tête Chocolate Cake – a dark chocolate cake drizzled with cocoa syrup and covered with a dark chocolate glaze and chocolate truffles (rsp: £15/523g).

The patisserie items will be available at the Pierre Marcolini Marylebone Boutique, counters in Selfridges, Harrods and online from 31 August.
