Italian baked goods supplier Crosta & Mollica has gained on-trade listings for its snack-sized bags of tarallini savoury biscuits, which include a new flavour variant.
The tarallini – dough rings that are boiled and baked until crisp – are available in multigrain and new caramelised onion variants via Italian eatery Coco Di Mama, which has several sites across London. They cost £1.60 per bag.
The deal represents the first time Crosta & Mollica’s products have been available in the on-trade market, such as pubs and bars.
Crosta & Mollica’s range is made to traditional recipes with natural ingredients by small Italian bakeries. The tarallini, which originate in the Puglia region of southern Italy, are made with local white wine, wheat flour and extra virgin olive oil.
Earlier this year, the company partnered with beer brand Birra del Borgo for its new beverage launch, which saw customers who bought a pint of its ‘Lisa’ beer given a free pack of tarallini.
