Papa don't shish: Madonna inspires Fanny's Kebab NPD

London-based Fanny’s Kebabs has teamed up with Deliveroo to create a limited-edition kebab in celebration of Madonna’s 61st birthday this Friday (16 August).

Named ‘Papa Don’t Shish’ the kebab has slaw, salad, houmous and peppers alongside either chicken, lamb, halloumi or avocado, wrapped in a flatbread with an image of the singer on it. The image, inspired by her True Blue album cover, is applied to the wrap using edible squid ink stamps.

The limited-edition Deliveroo exclusive will be available to order from Fanny’s Kebabs on Friday 16 August priced at £5.

“I mean, let’s face it, nothing says Madonna more than a tasty kebab. Ok, maybe some things do, but she’s great and we love her and wanted to honour her with some tasty food,” said Joe Groves, head of consumer communications at Deliveroo.

Jacek Bilinski, co-founder of Fanny’s Kebabs, added: “We love celebrating our favourite artists and putting Madonna’s face on one of our kebabs felt like an honour.”
