Bakery products distributor Bako North Western has appointed Claire Powell as technical baker.
In the role, she will develop new products for the Bako Select range at the company’s development bakery in Preston.
Powell has more than 27 years’ experience in the baking industry, including 20 years as applications baker for Macphie.
“I am very pleased and excited to be joining Bako,” she said. “As a leading light in the industry, they are passionate about baking and innovation, and I am really looking forward to developing new and inspiring product ranges that our customers will love.”
Established over 50 years ago, Bako North Western distributes bakery products to customers across the UK from three national depots.
It operates a fleet of more than 70 vehicles, supplying independent bakers and caterers with a range of ingredients and finished products, as well as its own Bako Select range.
