Nice Times Bakery, a new venture from the owner of Lovecrumbs, has launched in Edinburgh.

The bakery, which opened last week, has 10 covers and is located at 147 Morrison Street in the city. A selection of sweet and savoury options is available, including brownies, croissants, Danish pastries, cruffins and savouries such as potato, garlic & sage focaccia and other loaves of bread.

Owner Hollie Love Reed opened Lovecrumbs seven years ago and has two shops in the city – one in West Port, close to the castle, and another in Stockbridge.

The new site is branded under Nice Times Bakery to differentiate it from the rest of the estate.

“I started a new brand because Lovecrumbs is synonymous with cake and we wanted to branch out into a wider variety of baked goods, including pastries and savouries,” she told British Baker.

It will also allow the bakery to bring all production of baked goods back in-house and allow the business to expand its customer base.

“We opened the café with a selection of croissants, cookies, brownies, focaccia and loaf cakes, and are working on more savoury pastries, which will be making an appearance over the coming months. We are also working on a wholesale offering, an online ordering system and a wedding service, which will be launching in spring,” Reed added.
