Asda has unveiled a new Pink Gin Cake for spring.
The cake contains layers of madeira sponge with a pink-gin flavoured sugar soak combined with sweet raspberry jam.
The dessert is also covered with a pink frosting and hand-finished with miniature, edible gin bottles. It is coated with vanilla flavour frostings and suitable for vegetarians.
“We know our customers love a novelty cake and this one, for adults only, oozes sophistication,” said Sarah Burns, product developer at Asda.
Consumers can enjoy the cake with a gin and tonic, or as part of an afternoon tea, said the company.
The Pink Gin Cake is available in Asda stores nationwide with a rrp of £12.
