Brioche Pasquier is to unveil a new range of macarons in the run up to Valentine’s Day.

Produced under the label Emotion, they are available in six flavours, including banana & coconut, lemon & lime, raspberry & redcurrant, blackcurrant, caramel biscuit and chocolate orange.

The banana & coconut macaron features natural banana in a cream filling and coconut shavings; lemon & lime includes natural fruit juices; raspberry & redcurrant are combined for a pink berry flavouring; blackcurrant features ‘plentiful’ portions of the fruit; and caramel biscuit is flavoured with sweet caramel and dusted with caramel crumbs.

The Emotion macarons are available frozen in boxes of 36, and are served in individual trays of 12 to reduce waste.

“We’ve come up with the new recipes for six classic flavour combinations, adding garnishes, extra intensity and fruitiness to create a range of very special and very beautiful macarons,” said Olivier Ripoche, managing director at Brioche Pasquier.

The recently launched Petits Fours Delicatesse would complement the macarons, said the company.

It offers eight complementary flavours and patisserie styles, including Tartelette Citron, made with pure butter pastry and an almond cream; and a Triangle Pistache, which features almonds alongside the pistachios, and a chocolate flake topping.

“We’re really proud of this new collection, which we believe has the taste and appearance required to offer a really special dessert on Valentine’s Day. Our pâtissiers are highly skilled and all our pâtisserie is made and baked in France to traditional recipes, using high-quality French ingredients.”

Consumers can use them as sweet canapes, centrepieces at afternoon tea or combine them with café gourmand, according to the company.

Both products are made with eggs from uncaged hens, fresh butter, fresh fruit and natural colourants and flavourings. They are vegetarian and free from palm oil and preservatives.
